Listing & verification methodology

Know what was checked and what still needs confirmation.

Primary sources

We prefer the business’s own website for its identity, contact details, location and service offerings. Each published listing links to the source used. We collect factual information, not reviews, ratings, promotional paragraphs or photographs.

Verification scope

Official source checked means we reviewed the cited website for the displayed facts on the stated date. It does not mean we telephoned or visited the shop. Business operation, prices, appointments, holiday hours and repair quality are not independently confirmed.

Services and specialties

We tag services only when source evidence supports them. General repair does not automatically imply diesel, high-voltage EV, transmission rebuilding or make-specific capabilities. Ask the business about the exact work you need.

Addresses and coverage

Community labels follow the address published by the business. Postal cities and municipal boundaries can differ. Nearby businesses may appear under Columbus even when they market themselves to an adjacent community. Our launch research spans the Columbus metro and surrounding Central Ohio communities; coverage is not exhaustive.

Corrections and owner updates

Every report is reviewed before publication. We check proposed changes against official public information or contact the business through an independently established channel. A claim request does not automatically confer account access or an endorsement. Please never send identity documents, payment data or private vehicle records.

Freshness

We flag records for another review after 90 days, and investigate correction reports sooner. A source changing or becoming unavailable triggers review; it does not automatically prove that a business closed.
